Privacy Policy

We keep this simple: we collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and we store it securely. If you have questions, email privacy@kalgem.io.

1. Who we are

Kalgem is a product of Upcloud Lda, a company incorporated in Portugal (NIF: PT514564016). We operate the website kalgem.io and the Kalgem AI sales assistant service.

For GDPR purposes, Upcloud Lda is the data controller. Contact us at privacy@kalgem.io.

2. What data we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your company name
Your team size and CRM preference
Any message you choose to submit (pain point field)
The date and time of your submission

When you visit our website, our analytics tool (Umami) collects anonymous, aggregated data including page views, referral sources, and country of visit. No cookies are set. No personal data is collected by analytics.

To contact you about early access to Kalgem
To understand demand and prioritise product development
To send you product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
To improve our website using anonymous analytics

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

Consent — by submitting the waitlist form, you consent to us storing and using your data as described in this policy
Legitimate interests — for anonymous website analytics to improve our service

5. How long we keep your data

We keep waitlist data for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If Kalgem launches, we'll ask for renewed consent before moving you to our customer database.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We use the following third-party services to operate:

Supabase (supabase.com) — database hosting for waitlist data. Servers located in EU.
Umami — privacy-first analytics. No personal data collected.
Vercel (vercel.com) — website hosting

7. Your rights

Under GDPR and Portugal's data protection law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at cnpd.pt

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@kalgem.io. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. Our analytics provider (Umami) is cookieless by design. No consent banner is required.

9. Data security

Your data is stored in a secured Supabase database with row-level security enabled. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of kalgem.io after changes constitutes acceptance.
